Ryo and Dee are first introduced when Ryo becomes Dee's partner in the first volume of Fake and over the several volumes, the pair become friends and start to confide in each other. It's clear that Dee has feelings for Ryo that extend beyond partnership and eventually Ryo begins to reciprocate them, although at first he tries to deny them. The manga really revolves around the relationship between the pair and how the cases they investigate pushes them together, and it's so well written that I couldn't help but lov eit.
