Welcome to One In Five Billion, the only TFL approved fanlisting for the relationship between Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from the television show The X-Files which ran from 1993-2002. Scully and Mulder meet when she is sent to debunk his work on the X-Files and close the department at the FBI. They became partners and investigate cases together which have bizarre circumstances, Mulder believing the most "out there" explanations and Scully providing the rational ones. However, they start to reveal a government conspiracy to cover up the existances of extra terrestrials, putting both of their lives in danger numerous times. Throughout the series, their relationship develops from one of hesitance to one of absolute trust and friends and finally to lovers. The relationship between Mulder and Scully is hands down my favourite television relationship. Even though Mulder is initially wary of Scully, they begin to trust each other and find they can only rely on each other, and it's clear how important they are to the other throughout the series, often putting their own life in danger to help the other. I love watching them together because they're so unlike other couples on tv. Just a look between Mulder and Scully can be more intimate than a kiss between other couples.
