Welcome to Heart, the only TFL approved fanlisting for the character Kaywinnit Lee 'Kaylee' Frye from the television show Firefly and movie sequel Serenity. Kaylee is the mechanic on Serenity, and she possesses a natural talent for it despite only having received training from her father. She always sees the good in people and situations and has a very positive attitude to life. Despite the fact that she's an excellent mechanic, Kaylee often shows a very girlish side to her, especially over pretty dresses. After Simon and River join the crew of Serenity, she develops a crush on Simon. Finally in the movie they kiss and consumate their relationship. I've loved Kaylee from the very first episode. Her attitude towards life is very refreshing compared to the rest of the crew and I love that she doesn't let the situations they get themselves into worry her too much.
