Jim is in love with Pam, but she is in the longest engagement in the world and he doesn't say anything to her until the office have a gambling party. It creates tension between them and he moves branches, only to go back to Scranton when the two branches are merged. Although Jim is dating someone else, Pam begins to realise her feelings for Jim. He eventually asks her on a date and she agrees. A week after they start dating, Jim buys her an engagement ring and several months later proposes. I think that Jim and Pam have one of the best relationships on television, probably ever. I think their transition from friends to a couple felt completely natural and together they are just adorable. Really, Jim and Pam are perfect for each other and I'm really glad that Pam realised that. Whether their interaction is platonic or romantic, I adore them together.
