Welcome to Live Forever // Die Forever, the only TFL approved fanlisting for the relationship between Captain Jack Harkness and Owen Harper from the television show Torchwood. Owen first meets Jack sometime in 2004, outsite the operating theatre where his fiancee is having surgery. It turns out that she has been infected with an alien parasite and Jack is there to clean up the mess. However there is no record of him on the CCTV and Owen is forced to take leave from his job. He later meets Jack in a cemetary, wanting to know what happened to his fiancee and Jack tells him that he's been looking for a medic to join Torchwood and Owen accepts the position and eventually becomes Jack's second in command. Owen and Jack are not the best of friends on the team, at times they are too similar but it's clear that Jack sees something in Owen that he doesn't see in himself; even after Owen dies, Jack is not ready to give up on him as a person. They are a lot of fun to watch together, whether agreeing with each other or clashing over something, but there is a definite fondness for each other.
