Welcome to Shifting, the only TFL approved fanlisting for the His Dark Materials series of books, written by Phillip Pullman. The series comprises of three books, Northern Lights/The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass, released in 1995, 1997 and 2000 respectively. The books recieved a wide reception and critical acclaim, with Northern Lights becoming the first book written for children that has won the Pullizter Prize. I've read the books several times and I still think they are really fantastic. They're books you can read over and over again because they're really gripping and you end up noticing things you never have before.
