Welcome to A Hand To Hold, the only TFL approved fanlisting for the relationship between the Doctor and his companion Rose Tyler from the 2005 revival of the cult television show Doctor Who. Rose first meets the Doctor in the basement of the shop she works in, and gets caught up in him trying to save the world. He offers her the chance to travel through space with him and though she originally tells him she can't go with him, after he tells her that it also travels in time she gleefully runs towards the TARDIS. She stays with the Doctor for two seasons of the show, leaving in the episode 'Doomsday' where she is sucked into a parallel universe. Rose is my favourite companion, hands down. She is strong and although maybe not book smark, has the intelligence to think for herself and help (and also save) the Doctor. The relationship between Rose and the Doctor was written perfectly, Rose is just brilliant and so very human and asks all the questions that normal people would want to know about the Doctor. Rose is never ready to give up on the Doctor, no matter what, and even though he tries to save her and to let her lead a normal life on several occasions, she always finds her way back to him and tells him that she isn't ever going to leave his side. However she is always willing to give the Doctor a metaphorical slap if he needs one. Her friendship with the Ninth and Tenth Doctor is different, but fantastic in different ways.
